About

Starting as a small project in lockdown 2020 to keep my hands busy and express creativity At The Table (formerly Capitalism is Disappearing) was born. Each piece from start to finish is made by Kathleen Campone I am a proud Sicilian, Irish, Gomeroi Wumin a professional dancer, artist, dog mamma and self taught ceramicist. I have spent the last two years taking time away from my buisness to focus on my mental health and cultural responsibilities. The time away has allowed me to reflect on and further refine what it is I want to achieve through my practice and what I stand for. I am beyond proud and excited to share with you a refined collection of my most treasured pieces. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them. Watch this space for whats next with At The Table.

Process

Each At The Table piece in Collection No. 01 is hand built and designed by Kathleen Campone before being turned into plaster molds with the help of Too Friendly Ceramics. Each form is hand crafted using slip casting and hand building techniques to create both functional and sculpture wares. The checkered pattern is patiently hand painted one check at a time. A laborious and endurance based task that is a reflection of my interests as an artist.
